I finished this in one night being able to just log it into the MS Readathon. Mr Hoppy is very clever to come up with the idea of how to make Mrs Silver marry him! I would recommend it.
Such an inspiring story to always chase your dreams!
I really like how Mr Hobby and Mrs Silver had a good and happy life together. I didn't really like how Mr Hobby cheated and he lied to Mrs Silver about how he wasn't buying new tortoises for Mrs Silver. Show more Show less
You may be wondering what esio trot is? Well read esio trot backwards and what does it spell? Tortoise, it’s a very goofy book and I love it?
I thought Mr Hoppy was cheeky trying to marry Mrs Silver. He also invented a really long thing called the tortoise-catcher that he used to swap the tortoises.
esio trot backwards is tortoise!!
I think this book was very good because I liked when mr Hoppy had the metal grabbing thingy and he got the tortoise.
This book was about a man that had about 52 tortoises - one of them had a broken, and two of them were unwell. I gave this book 3 starts as it was a bit tricky to understand.
This is a great book.
Great romance book. You should definitely read it.
Funny ? book ? it was good
Absolutely the best book ever!
This is a fun and cheeky book for readers of all ages. Such a happy ending.
I don't really like this book because its about frogs that multiply. I didn't like the man that didn't like the tortoise.
This book was about a man named Mr Hoppy who loved Mrs Silver who lived next to him. But Mrs Silver loved a tortoise named alfie. So Mr Hoppy wrote a poem that Mrs Silver thought would make alfie bigger. But instead Mr Hoppy replaced alfie with a bigger tortoise 8 times. And Mrs Silver thought it was brilliant. And they got married and lived happily ever after. Show more Show less
“It was really really good.”
A tortoise runs everywhere and his owner is sad
It was good and funny. I liked when Mr Hoppy was putting all the turtles down to Mrs Silver's house.
I think it's a good book because Mr Hoppy is very clever! He thinks to put plastic on his floor and weighs each tortoise to see which one weighs 2 ounces more. He doesn't just they're the tortoises over the balcony, he lowers them carefully with his silver contraption. Show more Show less
I thought Mr Hopper was somewhat selfish because he went to all of the pet stores he knew and bought all the turtles.
this is a good book
4 stars. It was weird how he bought 160 tortoises and made a tortoise catcher.
Best book easy to read and enjoyable
I loved the book because i am fascinated by the tuetle called Esio Trot and it is different perspectives about the characters it was such a good book but not everything was great about it.
What a great book! I loved reading the back to front words
This book dosnt have a lesson to be learned in it, but its brilliant story line makes up for that. Its a good book to read when you want to read a nice light, fast but effective book. Its quite funny to? I would most definitely recommend this book to my classmates and techers! Show more Show less
a women wanted her turtle to grow so her friend swapped the turtle every day to a bigger size
Mrs silver has a tortoise named Alfie. She wants Alfie to get bigger so Mr Hobby kept on switching tortoises. But the last tortoise couldn’t fit in the little house
